About ERIC
Eric is a Belgian actor with Congolese roots, renowned for his noteworthy performances in feature films such as "Welcome to Germany" (2016), "Sawah" (2019), and the recent "4 Days to Eternity" (2023).
Originally hailing from Zaïre (now known as the Democratic Republic of the Congo), Eric relocated to Belgium with his family at the age of 13, where he currently resides.
Career
A jack-of-all-trades, Eric commenced his career at the age of 18 as a rapper, adopting the nickname 'Krazy-E.' Subsequently, he joined a local amateur theater group and participated in various productions as a background actor.
His breakthrough as a lead actor in Europe came with the German blockbuster "Welcome To Germany,” directed by Simon Verhoeven. The film received accolades, including a Bambi Award for “Best Comedy, and Eric himself earned a nomination for "Best Actor" at the German Film Critics Award.
For his outstanding performance delivered in “Sawah," Eric earned the Golden Palm Award for "Best Supporting Actor" at the Queen Palm International Film Festival. In his last project, "4 Days to Eternity," a historical drama-romance, he portrayed the character 'Caven' alongside Lea van Acken and André Hennicke.
